Event Description:
The University of Wisconsin – Stout will be hosting the 12th annual Red Cedar Watershed Conference on March 14, 2024. This conference’s theme of land, water, and people coming together highlights the ways that landowners, policy makers, and environmental enthusiasts can work together to create a cleaner watershed. Sessions cover a wide range of topics, so there is something for everyone. Community members and students from local high schools are especially encouraged to attend to learn more about our watershed and conservation efforts being made to preserve and improve it. The conference’s speakers will include groundwater education specialist Kevin Masarik, scientist Chris Ester, and Mary Monroe Brown, Wisconsin’s first Director of the Office of Outdoor Recreation. Tickets are available at uwstout.edu/redcedar for anyone interested in learning how they can contribute to a cleaner watershed, a cleaner Wisconsin, and a cleaner world.
